Carl Leadbetter Memorial Golf Tournament
The Children s developmental Center is hosting its annual Carl Leadbetter Memorial Golf Tournament Saturday, June 12 at Bob-O-Link Golf Course in Avon. The 4 person event is a modified scramble format and all proceeds from the event will support the therapy programs for the special needs children seen at the Center. The shotgun start will be at 9:30. The event is limited to 30 teams. The $300 entry fee includes 18 holes, 2 electric carts, skin game, 4 chances at hole-in-one prizes including a 2010 car, lunch and a steak dinner, and door prizes for each entrant. "Iron" Florist Arranger's Competition
The Elyria Service League is sponsoring a premier event to fund its many charities. Five florists will compete by arranging flowers in a timed contest. They will not have seen the flowers before the event! The florists are Off Broadway, A Secret Garden, Botamer Florist and More, The Hen 'N the Ivy and Flowers by Sharon. Come and support your favorite florist, enjoy brunch, a cash bar and bid on the arrangements. A Chinese auction is included. Only $25 per person. Event Date: July 29th, 2010

St. Peter Parish Festival Special Raffle
In addition to a chance to win $15,000 in cash prizes, a special raffle will be highlighted. Jo Horton, a local artist has donated her prize winning cross stitch titled "QUILTS" to be raffled. The exquisite piece took 2nd place at the Lorain Co. Fair last year and depicts an Amish country home and barn with 10 different quilts in the yard. Natural Steps Walking Club
New Life Hospice is sponsoring Natural Steps, a walking club for adults 18 and older who are grieving the death of a loved one.
